Consultation Coming Up Soon!

The SYP is organising a consultation of young people to find out which of these topics we should focus this year’s campaigning around.

1. Active and sustainable travel – improving travel and transport systems for ourselves and the planet.

2. Drug misuse as a public health issue – making treatment and support for those struggling with drug misuse more accessible and compassionate.

3. Climate emergency – how Scotland respond’s to the climate change crisis to protect people across the globe.

4. Youth work funding – ensuring youth work services are sustainably resources on a permanent basis.

5. Right to food – making sure every person in Scotland has access to the food they need.

6. Rights and support for people with disabilities – improving access to support and protection of rights for people with disabilities

7. Youth participation – improving how Scotland’s decision makers engage with young people on issues affecting them

8. An improved justice system for young people – pushing for changes to Scotland’s criminal justice system to improve wellbeing and rehabilitation

9. Young people’s employment – calling for access to more and better work opportunities for young people

10. Educational attainment – working to make sure young people across Scotland can reach their potential at school, regardless of their location or background.
